All started from the 2012 RDB report (www.lmis.gov.rw/scripts/publication/reports/ICT.pdf) .The report stated that, the unemployment problem in Rwanda is mainly attributed the critical prevalent skills gap. In the same report on its page 59, they provide critical recommendation on emerging issues where mobile computing (which is a part of cloud computing) is highly recommended.

As a result, in 2014 we have constructed our campus and then applied for accreditation that we obtained under WEC (Worldwide E-Learning Campus) the parent organization of the Worldwide E-learning Campus (WEC).

The major competencies for the accredited program are:
1) Virtualization, storage and Cloud System Administration,
2) Cloud Network Administration, and
3) Mobile Apps Development.
Those competencies answer the above mentioned gap identified in RDB report.
