The Advanced Diploma in Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing is in general the delivery of computing services such as Servers, Storages, Databases, networks, software, etc. over the cloud (internet).

Mostly, users are getting those services everyday but don’t know what is behind the scene. Nothing else except cloud computing. In brief, Cloud Computing is the delivery of shared resources, software or data as a service and on demand.

So, Cloud Computing is a vast domain but networking, virtualization, shared virtual services, and mobile applications are fundamental keywords of cloud computing that can help a layman to have a general view of what all about cloud computing is.

At graduation, any of our student have the above mentionned skills and can confidently compete at any job market.

1.Introduction

Cloud Computing is in general the delivery of computing services such as Servers, Storages, Databases, networks, software, etc. over the cloud (internet).

Mostly, users are getting those services everyday but don’t know what is behind the scene. So, nothing else except cloud computing. In brief, Cloud Computing is the delivery of shared resources, software or data as a service and on demand

So, Cloud Computing is a vast domain but networking, virtualization, shared virtual services, and mobile applications are fundamental keywords of cloud computing that can help a layman to have a general view of what all about cloud computing is.

2. Types of Cloud Computing
Cloud computing services fall mostly into three fundamental types:

1. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): Data Center Physical plant/building, Networking Firewalls/Security, Servers & Storages

2. Platform as a Service (PaaS): Operating Systems, Software development tools, database management, business analytics.

3. Software as a Service (SaaS): Hosted Applications/apps

3. How Cloud Computing services are deployed?

Cloud computing services are deployed through three different types:

1. Private Cloud

2. Public Cloud

3. Hybrid Cloud

4. How our Curriculum answers to the needs of Cloud Computing?

The key output of Advanced Diploma in Cloud Computing is that any graduate must be capable to serve as:

1. Cloud Network Specialist

2. Cloud System Administration Specialist

3. Mobile Apps Developer

With the above hands on capability, the graduate shall stand as a cloud computing specialist who can compete on the advanced diploma level anywhere in the world.

5. Multiple entry and early exist advantages

1. Multiple entry principle: Applicant can enroll into any level at any time, provided they got exemptions from the department of international programs. This principle advantages people with international professional certifications recognized for credits transfer and the one with degrees/certificates from other recognized universities.

2. Early exit principle: Students do not need to complete the whole program of the advanced diploma. They can exit early. However, an early exit certificate is provided to the students holding parallel professional certification from an internationally recognized professional body. These mandatory parallel international certificates serve as benchmark to international standard and for quality assurance. More importantly, the early exit certificates from WEC will mention the earned academic credits and those credits can help students for progression into other universities with exemptions.
